~Unbiased review of a customer that actually purchased the item~Traveling in Europe, all our stops at hotels had rooms with electric kettles. We became accustomed to being able to make quick tea/cofffee/hot chocolate without the normal coffee maker process.Crown Point Plaza at Heathrow used this exact kettle, and we found it to the smoothest operating, quickest boil and lightest most compact unit without sacrificing quantity of water.Purchased one and have been using it daily ever since. At less that $20 we began giving them away as house gifts, and everyone says it’s changed their daily routine. Bought 4 so far!The unit has a small base with plug that rests on your counter, and the detachable pot centers on the small post that activates the heating element with the pot.A flip down clear lever under the handle activates the heater, and automatically flips up when the unit comes to a boil, or you flip it off manually.The side of the pot has a clear viewport that allows you to see the quantity of water in the vessel.It takes less than a minute to boil a liter of water (max amount) and less time than that to make suitable water for immediate tea drinking.The stainless steel jacket on the kettle is easy to clean and maintains its shine. The spout is accurate and doesn’t drip or spill. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable to hold.Our unit sits on a 7″ tea box under cabinets at a 22″ backsplash height and has plenty of room to maneuver.Wish all household products had this high of a satisfaction index for us and were as reliable!
