I am a person who reads reviews meticulously before buying online.I had hesitations about this one, but I’m glad I took the chance on it!This little kettle is perfect for my needs. When I read the reviews talking about how short the plug was, I was a little worried but I knew it wouldn’t affect my specific situation, so I bought it (the price point is great).When I got the kettle, it was well-packaged and came with a manual and plenty of warning and instruction labels. I also love the color!My favorite part is that, upon inspection, I realized that the cord is actually retractable into the base of the kettle! So if you hesitate like I did on that point, don’t worry about it. The cord is about 24” long when fully extended and winds back up into the base for easy storage (this has become one of my favorite features!) It fits right in a drawer when not in use, very nice for small spaces like mine!Apart from that, this little thing is great, makes hot water in just a few minutes. It holds just enough for one cup of tea or coffee so if you’re looking for something more, this little guy is not for you.When you take it off of the base after heating, the outside and bottom of the kettle is warm, but not hot — no need for potholders! It pours well, without leaking, except for a bit of steam coming out from the top at times (which it has a warning label for).It can be a tad noisy at times as it heats, but it doesn’t bother me in my situation. I could see it being a distraction or nuisance in a quiet office setting or something like that, though.If you’re looking for a safe, cheap, compact kettle for a single cup of boiling water, this is for you!I’ve had this for 4 months now, using it daily (multiple times per day) and it has stood the test, it works wonderfully and I am very satisfied with it for the price. Definitely fits all my needs!
