So, these are excellent for that afternoon picnic, where you have sandwiches, salads, wraps, etc… They’re great with their compartments, as this will keep the beans and the potato salad off my turkey sandwich. However, I would not for a moment want to try to cut into anything with this plate on my lap, unless I wanted to be wearing it the rest of the day. These babies are super thin on the bottom. The ridge is fairly strong, which helps keep then very useful for the larger size. And again, for colder food items, or others that need only hands and forks and spoons, they should do fine.Ribs? Chicken? Steak? Sausage? Uh uh. Nope. Not with these.I hope this helps.
