First, this is an incredibly well-constructed jacket with great attention to detail. Stitching, additional pockets, dual zippers zipper cover at the top of the neck to avoid scratching you, all top notch. The fabric is also quality, and the fit is amazing (XL fits me a little snugly but not uncomfortably so). The hood is designed very well- not to fall down over your eyes and to stay on your head in wind. If it was a non-heated jacket, it would still be worth it simply because of its construction and design. That said, it is a heated jacket. The battery is a little bulky, and does take up quite a bit of room in its special pocket (you’re not going to be able to put your cell phone in the left jacket pocket comfortably). the heating for me is good, but not phenomenal. It does get warm, but maybe not as warm as I was expecting or hoping. Also, on high it does seem to drain the battery pretty quickly. On a 35 minute walk with my dogs and the jacket on high, I come back to find the battery depleted from 100% to around 70%. That seems like a lot for 30 mintues. On low, to me, the heating is only slightly noticeable.I should also mention that I had to return my first one. It did not heat at all on the right hand side of the jacket- front or back. However the return was handled well and my replacement shipped out and was received quickly.Time will tell if the battery life will hold out, or if the heating technology in the jacket will last. Honestly, as I mentioned before, the jacket is so well-made that if it no longer heating after a year or so, I’ll still very much enjoy it as a “regular” jacket.
