I used one of the large ones to reboot a big CV axle on my 2003 4Runner. It was just barely big enough, but that still get the job done, doesn’t it?It worked perfectly with the generic installer pliers I had from another kit previously, which was great.My only complaint is that the little biting metal teeth which are about 50% of the holding power after crimping slipped a little bit during that process. I think I had three gripping when I started, and I finished with two locked in place.That’s still gonna hold the boot on just fine, of course. I think it happened because I had the clamp almost at the end of it’s length — I am guessing this would not come up if you’re working somewhere in the middle of its potential.Good product. Recommended.
